This is a work in progress.

The US federal government is planning to build over 500 miles of border wall through West Texas, waiving dozens of environmental regulations. The proposed plan cuts across the Rio Grande floodplain and includes the Big Bend State and National Park.

Too rough to fully claim, this rugged landscape has been fought over for centuries. The construction of a wall will cause immense harm to protected landscapes, legacy ranches and crucial watersheds. This project documents the border space that is within the contested wall path before it is damaged.
